This is the first time I've ever tried to compose music to a moving image - hard to believe for someone who has lived in Los Angeles for almost 35 years. I probably broke every rule in the book. (Actually, I hope I broke every rule in the book.)

Our cat Spackle showed an intense interest in the hummingbird movie. So I shot this video of her trying to catch the moving image of the hummingbird.
And she seemed just as interested in the video of her watching the video of the hummingbird.
Where will it all end?

Your recursive video frightens me. Where will we all go when God turns off the cosmic TV set?
And here I thought it was merely supposed to be a cute cat video. That's the trouble with our culture: people go around finding meaning in things.
And who is God anyway? We'll all be safe if we just take the television remote away from her?
I may have to let some live mice or lizards into the house so Spackle will stop hanting around my computer monitor. She's at it again even as I type this.
How about music that accompanies the ants on their relentless march to colonize the bird feed? Spackle...ahhh, thats sweet. I named my cat Peoples.
